Pastor Jesse Vaught

Pastor Jesse with his wife and family

My name is Jesse Vaught. I’ve been married for 14 and 1/2 years to my wife Stacey. We have 6 children between 1 and 10 years old.

I believe God has prepared me my whole life for ministry and my heart’s passion is to serve Him as the most worthy Master.

He commanded me to love Him with my heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love others as I love myself. These are my goals. I am far from having achieved them, which is why I need time alone with God and many partners in ministry.

My job description according to 2 Corinthians 5:20 and Ephesians 4:12 is as an ambassador, to plead with people to be reconciled to God; and as a pastor, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

Jesse first trusted in Christ at the age of 3, and began reading the bible by his own choice at the age of 5. He actually got in trouble in Kindergarten for preaching to the rest of the class. He was constantly involved with Sunday School, youth camps, and summer missions. Jesse began his formal, college-level classes in 1989. He earned a Bachelors of Theology in 2002 from Derby School of Theology, and was ordained that same year. He later agreed to be President of Derby School of Theology for 2 years, and then Grace School of Ministry for 2 years.

He taught his first high school level Sunday School class in 1991, and has continued to be involved in teaching ever since. He blesses The Point Ministries with his substantive Sunday School classes weekly, and preaches nearly weekly (missing only those weeks that Pastor Joe is able to bless us with a sermon).
